I’m Tom and I started this adventure through Jan (Oemoemeno or something like that hahaaha) Where did I get myself into…o well, it’ll be a laugh and I can do what I like most: riding my bike.
I’m preparing myself for a year now; in 2008 I bought a new bike and it’s almost ready for the trip. It’s a Kawasaki Versys 650 with no less than 70BHP. It’s also my daily workhorse since I don’t drive a car (useless things).
I ride motorcycles since my 18th and I did more than 1million Km in the mean time, so a lot of bikes past me by. Usually they fall apart on me after some 150K, either if it’s a BMW or a Yamaha. The intensive use kills them I guess. There were times that I did 56K in one year…that’s a lot of tires.
I think we have a great team and I really look forward to this trip. Well…what else can I say…married, I work for the governement and I love to go out and about. I’ve been traveling througout Europe and I already visited Morocco once. I was kicked out of some countries too in my days…
